This is a quick post to inform you about a performance improvement we rolled out in the openEO Platform aggregator this week. The caching of various semi-static metadata endpoints (collections, processes, file formats, …) is now updated regularly (a couple of times per hour) through background tasks (ticket openeo-aggregator#74). This practically means that:
- the metadata is more up to date
- your API requests don’t risk anymore being slow because an outdated cache had to be updated on the fly
