What kind of a username and password can be used for login in Qgis?
When I authorize myself via a python client I use my github account but what If I want to try the QGIS loggin and test it as well. My github account does not work

unfortunately, the QGis plugin is no longer maintained, and was never updated to support OIDC.
Basic authentication (with direct username and password) is currently not supported by openEO platform because it is less secure.
Note that all functionality of that QGis plugin is also available in other (visual) tools, like the web editor. I always use QGis to visualize results produced by the platform.
